This collection is inspired by an unexpected narrative that unfolded in my backyard.

A few years ago, I adopted a flock of chickens. Not long after, I noticed peculiar items appearing around their pen—on fence posts, atop their coop, and even inside the pen. These objects ranged from slices of bread to beautiful pieces of glass, bones, and teeth. At first, I couldn’t figure out where these items were coming from. Then, one day, while watching my hens, I saw crows land on the fence posts surrounding the pen. They appeared to be amused by the chickens but soon flew away. The next day, I witnessed the crows drop a slice of bread right where the treasures had been appearing. It became clear: the crows were leaving gifts for my hens.

Over the years, I have been collecting these unique offerings and have built a relationship with these crows. In return, I have seen them protect my flock from predators, scaring off hawks and alerting me to other dangers. Now, when I tend to my chickens, the crows call out and gather around, anticipating a treat from me.

Each piece in this collection, handcrafted in sterling silver and 14k gold, reflects the symbolism and playfulness of these remarkable birds.

This piece features a Sterling Silver handmade chain with 14k gold stamped accents and 14k gold setting for a crescent shaped glass offering gifted by my local crows. Engraved in the setting is the message “A small offering for you” which can be seen, magnified, through the glass. Necklace measures approximately 17”. My makers mark “EG .925 14k” is stamped by the clasp for authenticity.
